Research interests

I am a geologist and palaeobiologist funded by NERC on the Environmental Research Doctoral Training Partnership. My research explores the co-evolution of tectonics and life in the Precambrian of northwest Scotland and the Outer Hebrides, focussing on non-marine microfossils found in Proterozoic sedimentary rocks of northwest Scotland, along with the tectonic, metamorphic and magnetic history of the Lewisian Gneiss Complex on the Outer Hebrides.
