Research interests

I am a palaeobiologist interested in the connections between climate and biology over geological timescales. By better understanding past climate-ecosystem states, I hope to develop and improve predictions of future responses to anthropogenic climate change.

My current research investigates marine food web dynamics during warm intervals of the past 3 million years using ocean sediment cores. I am aiming to develop the first high-resolution quantitative comparison of phytoplankton and fish populations through the Plio-Pleistocene, and apply this data to simulations of future fish stocks under different climate change scenarios.
